Student services: The Cologne Students’ Union employs more than 500 staff to attend to any and all issues that might concern the 70.000 university students besides their studies and leisure activities.

This means the Cologne Students’ Union runs student commons and cafeterias, as well as the nurseries “Uni-Kids” and “FH-Zwerge”. The organization is responsible for the promotion of education according to the BAföG law, and rents out rooms and apartments in 86 residential buildings. The InfoPoint in the ICI (“Info Café International” in the UniMensa) has specialized in handling the needs and questions of international students.

Additionally, the Students’ Union provides students competent help in resolving their social, psychological, and financial problems. Special courses and the AKÜDO translation service round out a multi-facetted array of available services. More information on this topic is available at www.kstw.de.
