For admission to the Master’s programme “Automation & IT” (MEng), the applicant is required to have successfully completed studies in the fields of Engineering Science or Computer Science (Bachelor’s or comparable degree). The following branches of studies are eligible: engineering science, computer science, computer engineering, informatics.

Master of Science in Communication Systems & Networks

Cologne University of Applied Sciences | Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering Science
Successful applicants are required to have obtained a recognised undergraduate degree in a suitable scientific or technological field, having obtained at least 210 credits in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and a final cumulative grade of 2.5 or better in the German grading system or equivalent. A degree programme is deemed suitable if it teaches competencies in the fields of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and computer science comprising a total of at least 110 credits.

The core modules of the program cover issues of sustainable development, management and international cooperation while the specialization on water resources provides a wide range of knowledge and practical skills related to water systems analysis, water management and water resources planning. This addresses the major challenges of safe and secure water supply, floods, droughts, water pollution, and irrigation.
